Review: The Darkling Tide

The Darkling Tide
The Darkling Tide by Travis Simmons

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book series is quite excellent! Safe for the YA readers, but entertaining enough for captivating the adults too! Travis Simmon really does a great job in writing the fantasy world of the Nine Worlds, it develops much like a spiderweb, every move and counter move is very much calculated. The reader will get lost within the web of the plot, and then inevitably get upset when the story ends. So I will have to wait for the next episode for The Harbingers of Light story!

The story of Abagail's journey continues, but this time it is very much darker than before. She is worried that the Shadow Plague will take her over, meaning that Rorick will have to follow through with his promise to end her. But will he or Leona really be able to end Abagail? There will be several new characters emerging, some the reader will really like and others the reader will really dislike, if not loath them! Within this story, the entire group will find what makes them close and a strong unit, but will this Shadow Plague consume them. Make it or break it? And of course, by the end of the tale you want the next portion to find out what next happens. So that is our sad plight, to wait for the next edition!
