Series of Book Reviews: The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series books: Desert Wolf 2, Desert Blood, Desert Fate by Anna Lowe

Desert Moon by Anna Lowe
The scent of destiny…the danger in desire.
Lana Dixon knows well enough to steer clear of alpha males, but Ty Hawthorne is as impossible to avoid as the sizzling Arizona sun. Her inner wolf just won’t give up on the alpha who’s tall, dark, and more than a little dangerous. One midnight romp under the full moon is enough for Lana to know she’ll risk her life for him — but what about her pride?
Ty puts duty above everything — even the overwhelming instinct that says Lana’s the one. She’s the Juliet to his Romeo: forbidden. And with a pack of poaching rogues closing in, it’s hardly the time to yield to his desires. Or is love just what this lonely alpha needs to set his spirit free?

There’s more than meets the eye on Twin Moon Ranch, home to a pack of shape shifting wolves willing to battle for life and love.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First of all, I received an advanced copy of Desert Moon for an honest review of the book. I am a big fan of all things Shifter books, and definitely love Anna Lowe's story telling. Her stories just flow and keep you entertained for a long time. I go to sleep wondering where she will take her characters and the packs, and always end the book with a light heart and a smile on my face.

Within the first story to the 'The Wolves of the Twin Moon Ranch,' you will be pulled into the magic of this clan of wolves living in the Arizona desert, and their desperate need to protect their land and loved ones. Lana Dixon comes to assist her Grandma ('Nan') to settle back into the family homeland and pack. Lana being so independent and headstrong, a true alpha's daughter; but for the love of her Nan, will come back to the one place that caused her heart to break and had changed her life.

Ty Hawthorne, the next alpha to Twin Moon Pack, sees Lana and wants her, no, more desires her. What's not to like or want?! But he is deeply troubled with his own heart ache from years past and is not willing to open to a new person, let alone a female he and his wolf are drawn too.

Can Ty and Lana resolve their past heart aches? Can Lana stay strong and stand up to an equally headstrong Alpha's son? Will they work together to right the wrongs from the previous generation, and take care of the safety of the pack and it's territory at the same time?!

I can't wait for the next installment of the story of the Twin Moon Pack!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a short Novella for between book one and two, but is a continuation love story between Ty Hawthorne and Lana Dixon. They have been a mated couple for two years, but are now finally coming back to Lana's home pack. Ty is apprehensive since their fathers have been sworn enemy so long, but will do anything for Lana, including meeting her family and old pack. Lana realizes that the Berkshire is not her home anymore, but finds her horizons opening. Watch how Ty deals with her family. There are some intense, yet funny moments that they will deal with, including the acknowledgement of something very important to both of them.

Love it! I can't wait for the next one.

Desert Blood (The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch, #2)Desert Blood by Anna Lowe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book was a great follow up to the first book and the two novella's within the Wolves of the Twin Moon Ranch series! Anna Lowe has a rich sense of the scenery and clearly gets everything so eloquently scribes for me to feel like I was right there in Arizona experiencing this story.

The resident bad-boy, ranch flirt and ladies man, Cody Hawthorne finds himself sinking fast. He may seem to be a man with the inability to be serious or even willing to commit to any relationship with another she-wolf. But there is so much more to Cody, that no one gives him credit for, even his family. Until a beautiful substitute teacher is hired for the ranch's one-room school house. For the first time, Cody is ready for life and all the responsibilities that come with it, but only one problem... This school teacher is human and off limits, since mating with humans for an Alpha's offspring is not allowed.

Heather Luth, a sweet, sexy and super smart teacher is on the run from an unknown danger. So finding a self contained working ranch with a school house, is a blessing in disguise. And ooo-wee, does she find herself in trouble, even from afar she is being drawn to that blonde sexy man, the ranch boss' son. What is it about Cody that screams home for her? She can't get involved, she had to keep moving for they will find her. Will she allow Cody to draw her completely in?

Can Cody withstand his desire for Heather? And can he keep her safe from whatever past that she is running from?

Desert Fate (The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch, #3)Desert Fate by Anna Lowe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Well, I kid you not, that Anna Lowe cannot tell a bad story. I absolutely love her The Wolves of the Twin Moon Ranch series.

In this addition, we finally get to see more into Kyle Williams, best bud to Cody Hawthorne, the Co-Alpha to the Twin Moon Pack. Kyle has always seemed broody, and reserved, and within this edition we will see why. Kyle is a state trooper there in Arizona, and plays a big part for the pack, but what does he do when a sweet, but frightened beauty stumbles into his turf? Especially since she is a cool drink of water to look at, and be around; but she has a familiar feel to her.

Stefanie Alt, was the girl next door, and the only one to understand younger Kyle, until they were pulled apart. Life just got in the way so, until Kyle finds her in the desert bloodied and wounded. His instincts kick in to maim and destroy those that hurt the weaker, especially cherished she-wolves; but his wolf is very possessive of this changeling.

Will Stefanie work through her issues with her changes in life, and the new life that is being thrown at her. And can Kyle, work through his insecurities and indifference's, to realize the opportunities in front of him are fleeting, and there for his taking. Can they keep their hearts and each other safe? Because there is just an evil moving towards them that will challenge their desires.
